Annual Conference 2022

The next UKRIO conference will be on the 25th and 26th May 2022 for our next Annual conference. It will be free and open to all.  It will include speakers from across the research community gathering to discuss key topics in research integrity, ranging from how to safeguard and enhance good research practice, how to address specific challenges and issues, improving the culture of research in teams and at institutions, and looking at systemic issues in the research system.


Other external courses

    Health Research Authority Training Days

    The Health Research Authority provides a comprehensive programme of training days many of which are open to researchers. These courses are primarily concerned with clinical research ethics and cover issues including: applying for ethical approval from an NHS REC; the Human Tissue Act; and research involving vulnerable groups.     MRC Regulatory Support Centre

    The MRC Regulatory Support Centre provides training on regulation, ethics and governance topics for MRC funded researchers. They will also tailor and deliver training in these topcis on request. For details of their current courses see the Support Centre website.

    MRC Regulatory Support Centre

    The MRC provides three e-learning courses as part of their Regulatory Support Centre. These courses address:

    • Research Data and Confidentiality
    • Research and Human Tissue Legislation
    • Making an application using the Integrated Research Applications System (IRAS)

    US online ethics training

    Online training is provided by several US-based institutions. These are designed for the US research environment and are best suited to researchers funded by US funders or carrying out research in US institutions.
